This tranquil home enjoys a wonderful location near Echo Lake and the boundaries of Acadia (just over a mile), kayak rentals in the charming town of Southwest Harbor (four and a half miles), and the bustling restaurants and shops of Bar Harbor (11 miles). Other great attractions include Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf, Bar Harbor Whale Watch, Acadian Boat Tours, Wild Gardens Of Acadia, and Lamoine State Park.
Upon entering this well-appointed abode, discover a welcoming living area furnished with your comfort in mind. Spread out comfortably on the sofa and watch a fun show or movie, or challenge your friends to an entertaining game using the Playstation 3 console available. The full kitchen has all the major appliances and utensils needed to prepare delicious homemade meals and treats for the crew, including a dishwasher for easy post-meal clean ups. The home was built in 1900 and well-maintained and loved by its owners. However, as was common in that era, the interior stairs which lead to all bedrooms on the second floor are steep and can be a challenge to some age groups. If accessibility is a concern this may not be the home away from home you are looking for.
Outdoor you may enjoy the picnic table where you can enjoy meals alfresco and a firepit surrounded by comfy chairs, the perfect setting for storytelling after then sun has set.

Summary: This property is very nicely situated close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park . The property has been updated and is very cozy. The family really enjoyed the nightly bond fires . We would definitely stay here again .

Summary: Our family of four (all adults) enjoyed the space and convenience of this house for a recent vacation. Oven and fridge seemed new, bathrooms were nicely updated, kitchen was charming and very functional, and everything was very clean. Check in couldn’t have been easier. Bedrooms were small but great and with fans and an a/c unit in one bedroom we were able to cool down the upstairs on warm nights. Location was ideal. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and our dog really enjoyed watching the deer through the windows! Would recommend this property!

Summary: House was a perfect size for our family of four adults. Plenty of space to relax after a busy day exploring the area. Dog was happy watching the deer walk through the yard and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces as well. Oven and fridge seemed new, kitchen and bathrooms were updated nicely. Bedrooms small but really for a vacation home they were just right! Would recommend this property!

Summary: We came up for the week of the 4th of July! The house is centrally located and was so easy to get everywhere on the island! The accommodations and amenities were great! It was very clean and overall a wonderful place to stay! The yard is great too with a fire pit for s'mores and a picnic bench for outside dining! We had lots of deer visiting. This house was perfect for our family and we can't wait to come back!

Summary: Stayed with extended family and the house was perfect. Close to the best of Southwest Harbor and only a short distance from the National Park. We really enjoyed the house and the amenities and the location was perfect as we dodged rain storms between hikes and site seeing.

Summary: Overall great home and location Bedrooms were pretty tight quarters There were rails you could add to the bunk bed which was helpful. It was verrrrry warm in the bedrooms the first two nights we were there even with fans and windows open. Stairs are pretty steep and overall may not be the most small child friendly home if you’re planning to spend a decent amount of time there. We have a crawler and he found lots of things on the floor from the guests before us (popcorn, etc) The water pressure was also not the greatest. Great kitchen space and loved having room at the table for everyone to sit and eat.

Summary: Really cute home. Cozy foe out family of 4. Not far from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We saw a couple of deer outside the house on our first morning there. The stairs are steep and all sleeping accommodations are on the second floor, so keep that in mind when booking for anyone with limited mobility. The coffee maker didn't work which was a bummer for someone who needs thier am caffeine.
